How to Add a Logo to a QR Code
A bare QR code says nothing about who it belongs to. A logo in the center makes it recognizably yours — and thanks to how QR codes are built, it doesn't break the scan.
The quick answer
In Quick QR, generate your code, then use the logo overlay to place your logo or an icon in the center. The app sizes it within safe limits, so the code stays fully scannable.
Why covering part of a QR code still works
QR codes carry built-in error correction — the data is stored redundantly, so up to roughly a quarter of the pattern can be obscured and scanners still read it perfectly. That budget is exactly what a centered logo spends. The rules of thumb: keep the logo in the middle, keep it modest in size, and never cover the three large corner squares (those are how scanners find the code).
Step-by-step: brand your code
- Create your QR code — URL, Wi-Fi, or contact.
- Add the overlay: your own logo image, or pick from built-in icon symbols.
- Tune the colors. Keep the code dark on a light background; adjust intensity so contrast stays strong.
- Preview and test-scan from your other device or a friend's phone before publishing.
Where branded codes shine
Business cards, product packaging, table tents, posters — anywhere strangers decide in half a second whether your code looks trustworthy enough to scan. A logo answers "whose code is this?" before they've thought to ask. Pair it with a designed layout from the print templates for the full effect.
